Harvey Green Smith married Laura Lavinia Pike, daughter of John Pike and Ada Collins, 26 October 1882 in Pearisburg, Giles County, Virginia. Harvey Green Smith married Hallie Snow Caldwell, daughter of Charles Caldwell and Martha Vaughn, circa 1927.

     Harvey Green Smith died 29 August 1938 in Pearisburg, Giles County, Virginia. Elijah Link Smith gave the information for the death certificate.
