     Samuel W. Mitchell was born in March 1811 in Giles County, Virginia. He was the son of William Mitchell and Catherine Stafford. Samuel W. Mitchell married Hannah DeWitte in Delaware County, Indiana. Samuel W. Mitchell married Belinda Jane Stafford, daughter of Thomas Stafford and Catherine Williams, 24 June 1833 in Clark County, Ohio. Samuel W. Mitchell married Melinda Stafford 25 October 1841.

     Samuel W. Mitchell died 10 January 1877 in Muncie, Delaware County, Indiana.

     Nancy E. Eaton was born on 16 June 1816. She married George W. Stafford, son of Thomas Stafford and Catherine Williams, 22 September 1836.

     Melinda Jane Black was born on 19 July 1822. She was the daughter of Samuel Black and Melinda Mitchell. Melinda Jane Black married Thomas Stafford Jr., son of Thomas Stafford and Catherine Williams, 24 June 1846.

Stafford, son of Thomas Stafford and Catherine Williams, 3 October 1854. Catherine Black married George F. Stafford, son of John Stafford and Elizabeth Stafford, 29 November 1857.

     Catherine Black died 8 March 1872.
